In Case You Missed It: Free Access AI Open to All Explorers!

Access AI Open to All Explorers, for Free!  

On July 4th, Aira announced that our free Access AI image chat feature is available to all Explorers! Access AI allows Explorers to take a photo or upload one from their camera roll, and receive an instant description. There is also the option to verify the description with a human visual interpreter.

Anything included within an Access AI chat session is secure and private, and no information is shared with third-parties. Access AI was rolled out for limited access in March, but is now being expanded to include all Explorers, whether they are subscribers or have a free account. Both Access AI and Aira Verify are free for all Explorers, to ensure as many people as possible can benefit from these tools. If a call is initiated from Access AI, the Explorer will be charged minutes. 

Along with this expanded access, our team has incorporated Explorer feedback into several new Access AI updates, below. 

 

New Access AI Updates 

Aira Verify

The Aira Verify feature enhances user confidence and accuracy by allowing Explorers to confirm AI-generated responses with human visual interpreters. If an Explorer chooses to verify using this free feature, the visual interpreter will be able to see the Explorer’s chat conversation and determine accuracy. This feature has been updated to improve the user experience of verifying the AI response to make it more intuitive, prevalent and valuable for Explorers.

 

Chat History 

Explorers will have access to a chat history feature, enabling them to view past Access AI chat sessions, rename chats, delete chats, and easily return to previous sessions for verification and follow-up. This can help Explorers save time by easily referencing previous chats. 

 

Verbosity

Explorers can personalize their experience with Access AI by adjusting the verbosity of responses. This feature allows users to choose the kind of responses that best suit their needs—either more detailed or concise. To change verbosity, Explorers can go to “Tab” and then “Preferences” and choose from among three different verbosity levels. Plus, adjust the “Vocabulary” preferences to choose from casual, everyday, technical or default language.  

 

Quick Replies

To enhance the user experience of Access AI, we have introduced the first “Quick Reply” option. By tapping on the Access AI message response, or using VoiceOver Rotor actions, you can select “Quick Reply, please tell me more”, and Access AI will send a message to give you a more detailed response.

 

Multi Photo Upload 

You can now send multiple images at once to Access AI using the ‘Detailed Capture’ feature. Also, while in the chat, you can attach multiple photos from your gallery or take new ones, and add a message to send. This feature allows you to do things like comparing multiple images to find the best one, and more!

 

Access AI FAQ

How do I get Access AI?

If you don’t have the app already, download the Aira Explorer app on iOS or Android, or use the web app. Once you create an account or log in, there will be a tab at the bottom labeled “Access AI.” Select it and start exploring with Access AI.

 

Is Access AI free or just for subscribers?

Access AI is available to all Explorers for free whether they have a subscription or guest account. If you make a call from the Access AI tab, you will start to be charged minutes, although if you are in an Aira Access location, or using an Access Offer (like BuildAI or Five Minutes Free), the call will be free. 

 

What is Aira Verify?

Aira Verify is the name of our feature that allows you to verify the accuracy and correctness of the Access AI response with a visual interpreter. When you select to verify with an agent, or use the “Aira Verify” button, your image(s), message(s), and response(s) will be sent to a human visual interpreter to verify the response. This feature has existed in Access AI, but is improved and has a new name.

 

How is Access AI different from other AI technology?

Access AI stands out as an AI image chat for its privacy and security as we do not share your sessions, human verification through Aira verify, and personalization with verbosity controls, various image sharing options and more. 

 

Are my images and messages secure when sending to Access AI?

Yes, we do not share your Access AI sessions with third parties and ensure that like with everything at Aira, we hold the highest standards of security and trust.

 

Does Aira want to replace human visual interpreters with AI?

The human experience with a visual interpreter is always at the core of your experience with Aira. Even with Access AI, which can help with tasks that Explorers used to primarily use an interpreter for, you can use Aira Verify to get the AI response verified with an interpreter. As AI technology continues to advance at Aira, we recognize that it will replace certain tasks and use cases of Aira, but there will continue to be a need for human visual interpreting to assist with many tasks, and provide high trust and security.
