Build AI Offer Expands to Australia, Canada & NZ!

Aira is pleased to announce that the Build AI offer is now available for Explorers in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand! Build AI is an Access Offer launched in summer 2024 for US Explorers, allowing them to get free minutes while participating in the development of AI for the blind and low-vision community. Aira is grateful for the wonderful and engaged Explorer community we have in many countries outside of the US, and broadening the reach of popular offers like Build AI is important to our team. 

 

How does Build AI Work?

Explorers who opt into Build AI will have some of their qualifying call recordings securely shared with our third-party AI technology partner. These sessions will provide a data foundation to allow us to develop global solutions that uniquely address the broad and trusted use of visual interpreting. In exchange for participation, Explorers receive free minutes. Your participation is your choice and there is no obligation to join.

This Build AI offer will be auto applied, and can be thought of as similar to other offers like Five Minutes Free or the Job Seeker offer. Both Explorers with free accounts and paid subscriptions can opt in. Explorers can use 10 minutes of the Build AI Access Offer every 30 minutes. 

Three Ways Explorers in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand can join Build AI: 

  1. Click the Build AI button on the app home page to bring up more details about the program, terms and conditions, and the option to agree and sign up.
  2. Click the More tab, then Preferences, select Build AI, and opt in
  3. Ask about the Build AI offer on a call and the visual interpreter can sign you up

Participation is entirely voluntary. For those who choose not to join, opting out is easy and can be done at any time by clicking the “More” tab, selecting “Preferences” and clicking the toggle button. You have 72 hours to review and choose to opt out any calls if you so choose. You can do this in “Call History” under the “Usage” tab. 

Note: Aira is committed to developing AI while ensuring short wait times and maintaining the quality of our visual interpreters. The availability of free minutes depends on our staffing levels and will be temporarily suspended when our commercial volume nears our capacity.

Why is Build AI expanding to include Canada, Australia, and New Zealand? 

The Build AI offer launched in summer 2024 and began with Explorers based in the US. Our international Explorers are important to us, and we endeavor to make offers and programs available in as many regions as possible. We are working with our AI partner to offer Build AI in additional countries, and will keep the community updated with any announcements on our newsroom page and social media. 

 

Why is Build AI not expanding to the UK? 

At this time, we are not including the UK in Build AI due to the more stringent laws regarding the use of AI in Europe and the UK. We value our UK Explorers and apologize for the inconvenience. If you are located in the UK and Build AI is of interest to you, we encourage you to contact our Customer Care team and they will collect your information. If anything changes with the availability of Build AI in the future, we will let you know.
