The holiday shopping season is fast approaching! As you get ready to browse deals and tackle your gift giving list, we wanted to ensure our Explorers are aware of the amazing Aira Access Locations in the retail space! Using Aira at these retailers can support a more independent and efficient shopping experience, on your own terms.
How do I take advantage of Aira Access Locations while shopping?
If you’re new to using Aira Access Locations, it’s easy to get started!
Aira Access Locations are places you can make free Aira calls (a full list of these locations can be found here). To access Aira while in an Access Location, simply open the app and place an Aira call—the offer will automatically be applied.
Once you connect with a visual interpreter, they will access your phone’s camera and work with you to accomplish tasks. This can include a wide range of activities, including placing an online order, tracking down a specific item in a store, going through self-checkout, and exiting the store to public transit.
If you’d like to explore other offers, tap “Browse Access Offers” on the home screen. You can see locations available near you, or scroll through recently used ones.
Where Can I Use Aira for Free While Shopping?
Walmart
Walmart is our newest retail partner! As of November 2024, Aira is available at Walmart at every location in the US, and while using Walmart.com! Check out a directory of all Walmart locations here.

Starbucks
Connect with a visual interpreter at any Starbucks location in the US! In addition to enjoying the atmosphere, food, and drinks, use Aira to get info about retail products like mugs, thermoses, coffee beans, and holiday-themed gifts.
Meijer
Use Aira for free at any Meijer location! The midwest retailer operates more than 248 supercenters and grocery stores throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin. Check out a directory of all Meijer locations here.
Gucci
Gucci offers Aira access at 22 locations in North America, including New York, NY, Washington, D.C., Detroit, TX, Houston, TX, Toronto, ON, San Francisco, CA, Philadelphia, PA, Chicago, IL, and Atlanta, GA.
