Aira is now available at every Chase Bank branch in the US! Bank customers can connect with a visual interpreter on-demand while in any branch, using Chase Bank ATMs, or when accessing online banking services. All calls are free of charge with the Chase Bank access offer. This full roll-out follows a successful pilot that launched in June 2024 at 46 Chase Bank Innovation Lab locations. This now expanded partnership with Aira underscores Chase’s commitment to being the bank for all, ensuring that all customers have equal access to financial services.
How Does Using Aira at Chase Bank Work?
Visitors to any Chase Bank branch can download the Aira app and open it on their phone. They will be able to connect at the tap of a button with a professional visual interpreter who can stream a live feed via the caller’s camera. The visual interpreter can assist by describing, reading aloud, navigating, and answering questions. Aira’s visual interpreters are highly trained and sign an NDA, and our stringent privacy standards ensure confidentiality and security for callers.
Aira can assist Chase Bank customers with a vast range of tasks they may need to accomplish in the course of their banking, including:
- Locating a branch’s entrance and exit
- Becoming familiar with the branch’s layout
- Navigating to the line to speak with a bank teller
- Providing information on how many people are in line and how fast it is moving
- Assisting with withdrawing or depositing funds at an ATM
- Using online banking services on desktop or through the Chase Mobile App
- Reading printed banking materials, like statements or materials about new financial products
- Orientation upon leaving the bank and heading to public transit
There is no limit to the number of calls someone can make to Aira from a Chase Bank.
Chase Bank customers will also be able to leverage Access AI to support their banking activities. Access AI is an AI image chat feature within the Aira app. Users can either take a photo or upload an image from their phone’s camera roll. Within seconds, Access AI will provide a detailed image description, plus the option to verify with a human visual interpreter.
