Technology Leader Troy Otillio Joins Aira as Technical Advisory Board Member, Investor

Troy Otillio, noted technology leader and entrepreneur whose lengthy experience in the industry has included managing successful startups and spearheading the ambitious AWS infrastructure strategy at Intuit, Inc., has been named to the Technical Advisory Board of Aira. Otillio will also serve as an Aira investor.
Aira´s Technical Advisory Board was formed to help guide the company´s technological vision and mission in developing personalized, user-friendly services and innovations that enhance the independence and mobility of blind and low-vision individuals.
With over 25 years of experience, Otillio is a software product and technology entrepreneur having particular expertise in early stage successful startups (including Ariba and Documentum), and large high-tech enterprises such as Intuit, where he serves as Director of Public Cloud in the company´s Central Technology organization. At Intuit, he led the company´s ambitious goal of transferring the hosting of its technology infrastructure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) — a project designed to result in significant gains in productivity, cost-savings and security for Intuit across internet, mobile, big data and service operations. Otillio also serves as Executive in Residence at Plug and Play Tech Center, a Silicon Valley-based accelerator specializing in emerging tech startups.

Before his current position at Intuit, Otillio served as Intuit´s Director of AnswerXChange and Services. His experience in entrepreneurship has also included serving as: CEO of American Eco-Energy, LLC; Founding Investor of the Titus Group (recently acquired by CliftonLarsonAllen); owner of Envisage Capital, LLC; Investor, MobiledataComm; Manager/Developer, Ariba, Inc. (acquired by SAP in 2012); and Manager/Developer, Documentum.
Otillio earned his B.S. degree in computer science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. He holds four patents in technology.
