Beyond Vision, a non-profit social enterprise employing people who are blind, will be managing a call campaign for assistive technology service Aira. The Customer Care division of the non-profit, staffed by people who are blind, will be making calls to encourage other people with vision loss to use Aira’s services in a free trial program.

For over 100 years, Beyond Vision has been providing various forms of employment for people who are blind. Half the employees at Beyond Vision, from production to senior leadership, are people with vision loss.

“Aira takes pride in expanding its network of employees participating in the Aira Employment Program and our partnership with Beyond Vision is another example of our vision to create an engaging community of Explorers and employment opportunities,” said CEO of Aira, Suman Kanuganti.

Aira’s 7-Day Trial offer means that anyone with a free account can try anytime access to Aira’s professional agents whenever it suits them – just like a paying subscriber. The 7-Day Trial provides 30 minutes to try Aira’s service over a period of seven days. It’s a great opportunity for people new to Aira to experience why so many use it as a way to significantly enhance independence and efficiency. Learn more about the Free Trial by reading this article.

“What a great partnership between Aira and Beyond Vision to assist people with vision loss and blindness to do more and be all they can be.” Jim Kerlin, President & CEO of Beyond Vision.

Beyond Vision’s employees also use Aira. Aira’s real-time audio description of any visual environment or task lessens the need to seek that information from family and friends. Several employees have shared stories of situations where they were able to do things on their own that not only empowered them but advanced their appreciation for the service.

DeLonna Williams, Customer Care Team Lead at Beyond Vision, was eager to talk about Aira’s 7-Day Trial, “It’s exciting to be a part of a new adventure. Something I can utilize in my life and can assist others in utilizing and understanding as well!”
